Sesame seeds are a great source of good protein, fat and fiber. They contain folic acid which is essential for DNA synthesis and a good source of B-complex vitamins and Calcium.
Sesame seeds can be used for a wide variety of dishes. You can add them to smoothies, sprinkle on a toast like avocado toast for example.
They are great in cookies, muffins, bread, granola, energy balls, granola bars, overnight oats, porridge, salad, stir fry.
The nutty taste of these little seeds work with almost anything so it’s useful to have them in your cupboard. Add them as they are or toast them on a dry pan on medium low heat until golden.
Sesame seeds are quite an oily seed and therefore should not be kept in direct sunlight. Store them in closed container in a dry and cool place.
