When I think smoothie I immediately see green smoothie for some reason. Green is a default smoothie setting for me and I try to venture out of my comfort zone to see what else is out there fruit and color wise. In reality, there are so many color combos you can achieve with blending just a few ingredients. And peachy cream breakfast smoothie is definitely not green.
I always try to make smoothies look appealing color wise, I think that helps when the color matches the flavour. I did make some amazing tasting smoothies that were somewhat bland in colour to say politely. Well, to be honest, they were grey. Grey smoothie does not immediately translates to tasty when you look at it. That’s why I try to blend with color in mind. Thankfully there are so many fruits out there, green is not the only option. And I like that banana is like a smoothie binder. It’s sweet, it’s pure energy and color wise is neutral. It can be blended with any color combo.
Peachy cream breakfast smoothie color wise is amazing and the taste totally matches this color. I think the best color description is – peachy cream, hence the name of this smoothie. I blended, poured smoothie in the mason jar, and immediately thought – peachy cream. And the first association in my head when looking at this smoothie is definitely creamy. It’s so velvety creamy. It’s sweet, you can taste the peanut butter in between the fruit. It’s very, very good.
I used nectarines as they are available all year where I am but peaches obviously will work as well. I only tried this smoothie with peanut butter but I think other nut butter would work as well. It’s definitely worth a try.
