Blueberry chia pudding

by Justyna

Blueberry chia pudding is a creamy and sweet breakfast. It’s almost like having pudding in the morning, but you know it’s good for you as well as delicious.

Chia seeds are a great source of protein, carbohydrates, and fat. Most of the carbs in chia seeds are fiber which makes them even better for you.

You can use fresh or frozen blueberries. If you are using frozen take them out of the freezer at the same time as you make the chia pudding.

Chickpea paste aka hummus

by Justyna

Chickpea paste aka hummus is my version of a classic hummus. My version because I prefer mashed chickpeas instead of a blended version. I like a more textured paste where I control the level of mushiness so to speak 🙂 If you prefer, just blend all the ingredients in a food processor 🙂

This paste is great with the Buckwheat flour flatbread. Go and check out the recipe 🙂

Peach and avocado smoothie is one of the creamiest smoothies out there. It’s sweet, very creamy and absolutely delicious.

Peaches and mango work so great together and give incredible flavor.

Banana and avocado are the main reason this smoothie is so creamy and sesame seeds give an extra kick in the taste and nutrition department.

It’s a really great smoothie. One of our favourites in VeryBreakfast kitchen 🙂

These are really good pancakes – fluffy, slightly sweet, totally clean and without any added sugar.

by Justyna

Cucumber and avocado smoothie is very creamy and fresh. You can taste the cucumber and the sweetness coming from banana and pear. It’s not a very sweet smoothie. The sweetness is like a hum in the background.

This smoothie is full of the green goodness. The avocado gives an incredible creaminess and spinach the color and the nutritional boost. Cucumber is a nice addition. It goes really well with spinach and avocado.

Psyllium husk

by Bart

[column size=”col-8″]

Psyllium is the husk of the Plantago plant seed.

Psyllium contains a lot of fibre and is very beneficial in keeping your gut healthy.

Because of the high fibre content, it’s best to start with smaller amounts of psyllium in your diet and see how you feel.

Apart from high fibre content we use psyllium husk because it’s a great binder which is very useful in gluten free and egg free baking.
