Blackberry summer smoothie

by Justyna

Blackberry summer smoothie is very fresh and summery. I used frozen blackberries and cherries and this makes the smoothie nice and cold. Perfect for a hot morning.

The fruit combo is really delicious. Blackberries and cherries make the smoothie intensely dark and rich in color which I think is beautiful 🙂

It’s a really nice and light breakfast smoothie.

Spirulina chia pudding is a super nutritional breakfast. It has protein from spirulina and chia seeds, carbs with fiber from the fruit and chia seeds and good fat from chia seeds and avocado.

And it’s very vibrant in color because of spirulina. This blue-green alga powder is so intense the pudding is powerfully green 🙂

If you are not sure about spirulina use half a teaspoon of the powder first and see what you think.

Fruit breakfast pizza

by Justyna

Fruit breakfast pizza is a chickpea socca with peach jam, fruit, and walnuts.

It’s quick to make. All you need to do is prepare the socca batter in the evening. And by prepare, I mean just mix chickpea flour with water. In the morning cook the socca on a dry pan for about ten minutes. And while socca is cooking, prepare quick jam and fruit.

It will take you 15 minutes tops from start to finish.

Peach and apple smoothie is what happens when I can’t get enough of peaches. They are so sweet and delicious now I just use them in everything.

This smoothie is super quick as usual and apart from great fruit it’s made with chia seeds and sunflower seeds. These seeds are a great nutritional boost on top of all the goodness you get from the fruit.

I always use frozen pineapple.

Carrot and tahini smoothie

by Justyna

Carrot and tahini smoothie is a surprisingly delicious result of recipe testing. This combo is quite strange but oh my does it work.

Carrot, apple, and bananas are quite sweet and I needed something to cut through this sweetness otherwise this smoothie would be like eating candy. First sip might have been blissfully sweet and delicious but by the end of the smoothie it would be sickly sweet.

That’s why I added tahini and lemon juice.

Bean and pepper hash with eggs

by Justyna

Bean and pepper hash with eggs is a quick version of a hash using canned beans instead of potatoes. It only takes few minutes to crisp the beans with all the spices and the result is positively delicious.

The spice combo gives a nice fragrant hum to the hash without hitting you over the head with intensity. I think in the morning you don’t need that kind of intensity but you definitely want a great tasting breakfast and that what this hash delivers 🙂

Bell pepper and tomatoes add sweetness to the hash and complement the beans and spices.

Avocado smoothie with spirulina

by Justyna

Avocado smoothie with spirulina is so dark green in color because of the spirulina in the smoothie. This blue-green alga is very vibrant in color as well as in nutritional content. It’s a great source of protein and contains all the essential amino acids. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and it could improve muscle endurance and strength.

Spirulina has a quite strong smell but blended in a smoothie it’s not noticeable anymore.
