Look at that color, so vibrant. Just looking at orange and raspberry smoothie you know it will be good for you.

I was curious what would it be like to blend an orange. I seem to be doing that a lot lately – testing various foods from veg, nuts to fruit and seeing if the outcome is satisfactory in the taste and looks department. Taste comes first but the color is very close second. After few batches of suspicious looking smoothies that tasted delicious but looked, well, grey I tend to be more mindful about ingredient choices.

Since when I have an idea I just have to try it I blended an orange. And since I don’t like single ingredient smoothies – the more the merrier – I added pineapple and raspberries to the mix. The result – very delicious. So sweet and vibrant in flavour – as well as in color. Very fresh and satisfying as well. Especially since I added golden linseed and sesame seeds to the mix.

After smoothie was successfully tested several times – all I can say about testing phase is YUM! – when I was looking at the ingredient list I realised all this delicious fruit is very rich in Vit C. Accidentally I created a very immune-friendly smoothie. Which is quite good right now when the weather is so unpredictable. One day it’s warm and sunny the next is cold and miserable. Springtime cold is not something I want so every help to keep the cold away is helpful. And as it turned out orange and raspberry smoothie can be very helpful with that.

Since smoothies are such a great way to amp the intake of the good stuff – you can blend almost anything and it still tastes good – we thought it would be a good idea to follow this accidentally developed theme and create some more immune boosting smoothies for you. Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Peel the orange and banana, cut into chunks and add to a blender.
  2. Add raspberries and pineapple to the blender with golden linseed, sesame seeds, and water.
  3. Blend until smooth
