Flaxseed are a great source of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. They are used in baking, granola, cereals, smoothies and should be a part of a clean diet.

Flaxseed is one of the best plant based sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Almost all carbohydrates in flaxseed are fiber which makes them a great clean food to add to your diet.

To get the nutritional goodness from flaxseed they need to be properly chewed or eaten in ground form.

Our body cannot break down the seed and if you swallow the whole seed it will come out in the same form as it came in. So if you are using whole flaxseed remember to chew them properly.

Flaxseed can be used in granola, cereals, energy bars, granola bars, can be added to baked good like rolls, bread, cake crust.

Store flaxseed in a cool dry place in your pantry and it will keep for months.

Golden linseed is another variety of flaxseed. Nutritionally they are almost the same. So use whichever you prefer or is easier to buy.
