Blackberry yogurt smoothie

Blackberry yogurt smoothie - it's a frozen, sweet delicious yogurt in a smoothie form. It's super quick to make. Just add, blend and enjoy!

Blackberry yogurt smoothie is a surprising creation that I didn’t think was possible. It’s because of blackberries.

Blackberries are on of those fruits I adored visually but was not the biggest fan of taste wise. They look fantastic, like tiny grapes bundled together to form a perfect fruit, and the color is so deep and dark. Taste wise, although amazing, was always a bit on the sour side for me.

The good news is – things change.

I stumbled upon blackberries recently, and just bought them out of curiosity. I thought I will try them and if I don’t really like them I can always convert them into jam if needed.

And although jam is actually a fantastic idea and I absolutely have to attempt blackberry jam, I will have to buy much more because the initial test batch I bought, is gone.

It was eaten with utmost pleasure.

Blackberries are delicious!

Still on a slightly sour side but it does not bother me anymore. It’s the part of the whole blackberry package and I totally embrace it.

What can I say, taste change.

It amazes me that in time taste develop and change. In college I absolutely hated coffee. I drank it sometimes as a pre-exam necessity. Falling asleep was not an option so coffee it was. Gulped quickly and with proper disgust noises. Scroll few years, something clicked and I like coffee. Not only as a morning wake me up drink. I really like the taste now. Go figure.

I wonder what next is there for me in the taste department. I have a serious aversion to licorice. I wonder if that will ever change.

But blackberries are definitely a nice surprise. Of course, I wanted to blend them and try them in a smoothie form.

Results are delicious and oh so very satisfying.

This combo is made for each other. I though blackberries and immediately though blueberries. And what would pair with those two nicely? Yogurt! I used to love fruit yogurts so this is an attempt to recreate those delicious yet totally loaded with sugar yogurts. I added banana and dates to add extra sweetness and sesame seeds for extra flavor.

The result is blackberry yogurt smoothie.

Creamy, sweet, very vibrant. So much better than bought yogurt.

Because I used frozen fruit it tastes more like delicious frozen yogurt! So good 🙂
