You can regulate the sweetness of the smoothie with the apple. If you don’t like for the smoothie to be very sweet go for more tangy apple. For a sweeter smoothie go for a nice sweet variety.

Because apple and peanut butter smoothie is quite sweet flaxseed are not only good nutritional addition to the smoothie but they also help to regulate blood sugar. You won’t get a blood sugar spike with the flaxseed in the smoothie so don’t forget to add them. They blend very well and you can’t really taste them with all the apple and peanut butter vibe going on 🙂

Apple and peanut butter smoothie
 
Ingredients
  • 2 small apples or 1 big apple
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter (or any other nut butter you like)
  • 1 tablespoon of flaxseed (or golden linseed)
  • 250ml of milk (cow's, rice, almond, I used oat milk)
Instructions
  1. Wash, deseed and chop the apples. Add them to the blender with part of the milk. Blend until you get an apple puree.
  2. Add banana, peanut butter, flaxseed and remaining of the milk.
  3. Blend until smooth.
