Apple and oat smoothie recipe - super quick breakfast smoothie. Blend apple, oats, banana, cinnamon, goji berries, chia seeds, milk into a creamy smoothie.

I think it’s safe to say that apple and oat smoothie is apple porridge in a smoothie form. If making porridge was not quick enough then this smoothie definitely is quick to make 🙂

This smoothie is super creamy, sweet and satisfying.

You can taste the apple and cinnamon. Since apple and cinnamon go so well together it’s a really tasty smoothie.

It’s great though that this level of creaminess can be achieved without cooking the oats. When blended well you can’t taste any oat bits in this smoothie.

But apple in a smoothie? – you may think – not apple sauce? A normal, good blender will totally blend an apple to a nice pure. There is no need for a high-speed blender at all.

Apple and oat smoothie
Serves: 1 glass
 
Ingredients
  • 1 sweet apple
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons of oats (rolled oats, Scottish porridge oats)
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of dried goji berries
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 250 ml of milk (cow's, almond, rice, I used oat milk)
Instructions
  1. Wash and core the apple, cut into chunks and add to the blender with approx the 3rd of the milk.
  2. Blend the apple into a puree.
  3. Add banana, oats, chia seeds, goji berries, cinnamon, and the rest of the milk.
  4. Blend again until smooth.
